It used to be that the option to work remotely was just that. An option available where both employer and employee agreed that the arrangement, either full or part-time, was desirable and mutually beneficial.

Then came COVID-19 and, practically overnight, working from home became commonplace, even mandated, by some employers. More than a year in, the jury’s out on whether remote working is a good or a bad thing, and it seems to be one of those debates where the answer is ‘it depends.

In this course we are going to look at working virtually including coping with the joys, woes, universal challenges and coping strategies to meet them.

In section 1, we discuss the 5 building blocks of a successful client relationship which are:

“When I first created the draft outline for this course, the focus was going to be on dealing with difficult clients. But as my thoughts crystallized, I realized that I should expand the vision to focus on building a strong foundation to try to avoid getting into sticky situations in the first place.

My focal point shifted to sharing my experience with establishing and building the client relationship, nipping issues in the bud when possible, maximizing the VG Success Management team as a support resource, and, when all else fails, picking yourself up, dusting yourself off, and moving forward.

It’s my deep wish that what I offer will be helpful to VAs at any point in their quest to make their journey more rewarding. There’s no prerequisite, just bring your eyeballs and ears!

Bear in mind that this is a humble chronicle of my own experiences, so my own biases will be woven in. Some of it will resonate with you, some of it won’t be a good fit.
